We have a busy stretch of Fridays coming up at 3003 Babcock Blvd: from reel-to-reel listening sessions and hands-on audio events to Record Store Day Black Friday and a Grand Theft Auto VI open house.
Some events are happening upstairs at Northern Audio, some downstairs at Music To My Ear, and a couple will take over both floors.
Here’s what’s coming up.
Friday, November 6 — Bob Marley “Exodus” Reel-to-Reel Listening Party
5:00–7:00 PM | Northern Audio
We’re starting the series upstairs at Northern Audio with Bob Marley and the Wailers’ landmark album Exodus: heard on reel-to-reel through one of our high-performance audio systems.
Come in, grab a seat and hear this classic album in a format you don’t get to experience every day.
Friday, November 13 — Fleetwood Mac “Fleetwood Mac” Reel-to-Reel Listening Party
5:00–7:00 PM | Northern Audio
The following Friday, we’ll put another reel on the machine for Fleetwood Mac’s self-titled 1975 album.
It’s another chance to spend a Friday evening listening to a great recording on a serious two-channel system and to hear what reel-to-reel can bring to familiar music.

Friday, November 20 — Grand Theft Auto VI Open House
10:00 AM–7:00 PM | Northern Audio + Music To My Ear
This one takes over both floors.
Music To My Ear will have the available vinyl editions of Grand Theft Auto VI, while upstairs at Northern Audio you’ll be able to experience the game on our massive 163-inch home theater system with Dolby Atmos.
Come by anytime during the day, check out the game, hear the system and see just how far a dedicated home theater can go.

Friday, December 4 — HQPlayer Day
10:00 AM–7:00 PM | Music To My Ear
December begins with a day devoted to HQPlayer.
If you’ve been curious about high-quality digital playback, upsampling, filtering and what HQPlayer can bring to a serious digital audio system, this is an opportunity to hear it and learn more.
Stop in throughout the day.
Friday, December 11 — Analog Workshop Day
10:00 AM–7:00 PM | Music To My Ear
We’ll wrap up the series with Analog Workshop Day.
Turntables, cartridges, setup, playback and the details that go into getting more from an analog system will be the focus throughout the day.
If vinyl is your thing, or you’d simply like to understand your turntable a little better, stop by and spend some time with us.
