Every once in a while, we like to do something a little different.
On Sunday, May 3, Music To My Ear and Northern Audio will be hosting a 16-player Madden NFL 26 tournament on Xbox, and the winner will take home a prize package valued at over $2,500.
Yes, a video game tournament at a record store and audio shop. And we think it’s going to be a lot of fun.
Gaming… on a Real Home Theater
Most of the tournament will take place downstairs at Music To My Ear, where players will compete using our GoldenEar home theater system. Madden already looks and sounds great on a typical setup, but on a large screen with true theater sound, it’s a completely different experience.
The real highlight comes at the end.
The championship game will move upstairs to the Northern Audio reference theater, where the finalists will play on a 161-inch Sony BRAVIA 7 4K / 120Hz projector with full Dolby Atmos surround sound.
If you’ve never seen a football game, virtual or otherwise, on a screen like this, it’s something to experience.
The Prize
The winner of the tournament will receive a prize package valued at over $2,500, including:
Audio-Technica AT-LPA2 acrylic turntable, complete with moving coil cartridge
Pro-Ject Step-Up Transformer for optimal moving-coil performance.
Not bad for a day of Madden.
